Dr.
Michael J. Anderson, Board Certified in Radiation Oncology,
received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry
from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
He received his medical degree from the State University
of New York Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
During
medical school Dr. Anderson did a research fellowship
in Pathology at Emory University and published several
papers in Immunology.
He
completed an Internship at the Department of Internal
Medicine at the Unverisity of Nevada, Reno.
He
completed a residency in Radiation Oncology at Mount
Sinai School of Medicine in New York City where he trained
under some of the country's leaders in Prostate Seed
Implantation.
During
his residency, Dr. Anderson served for a year as the
Chief Resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology.
Following his residency, Dr. Anderson served as the Associate
Director of Radiation Oncology at Elmhurst Hospital in
New York City.
He
is a member of the American Medical Association as well
as the American College of Radiation Oncology, and the
American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology.
Dr.
Anderson's interests include Intensity Modulated Radiation
Therapy, 3-D Conformal Radiation Therapy and Prostate
Seed Implantation.
