About Us 

Dr. Daniel Dosoretz

 

Daniel E. Dosoretz, M.D., F.A.C.R., F.A.C.R.O. is board certified in Therapeutic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine, where he was awarded the Gold Medal as the best graduate of his class. He performed his medical internship in Bethesda, Maryland.

Dr. Dosoretz trained in Radiation Oncology at the Department of Radiation Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, where he was selected Chief Resident of the department. Upon his Board Certification, he became an attending physician at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He also was an instructor and Assistant Professor of Radiation Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Research Fellow of the American Cancer Society.

Upon moving to Fort Myers, Florida, Dr. Dosoretz was appointed to the Clinical Faculty as Associate Professor at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He also has been a Visiting Professor at Duke University Medical School.

Dr. Dosoretz has been involved with the American Cancer Society in a variety of roles. He is the recipient of a research fellowship, member of the peer review committee and state-level research committee. He also served as President of the Lee County Unit and Chairman of the Professional Education Committee.

Dr. Dosoretz is a Fellow of the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO), a Fellow of the American College of Radiology, a member of the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society, the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He has served on the Board of Trustees of the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology and belongs to the Florida Radiological Society and the Lee County Medical Society. Dr. Dosoretz has contributed to more than 90 journal articles on radiation therapy and cancer treatments as well as authored and coauthored a number of textbook chapters in the field.

He is a Fellow in the American College of Radiation Oncology (FACRO).
