Dr. Li , Board certified in Radiation
Oncology, was awarded her medical
degree from Peking Union Medical
College, the most prestigious medical
school in China and founded by the
Rockefeller Foundation. In 1995, with
a special interest in the mechanism of
cancer chemotherapy, she obtained a
Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology from
Yale University School of Medicine,
New Haven, Connecticut.
Dr. Li's postgraduate clinical training
included her Residency in Ophthalmology
at Peking Union Medical College,
Beijing, China, and an Internal Medicine
internship at Greenwich Hospital,
Greenwich, Connecticut.
Dr. Li obtained her Radiation Oncology training at Montefiore Medical
Center-Albert Einstein College of
Medicine, New York, N.Y.
She had extensive experience in brachy-
therapy in the management of Gynecological
and genitourinary malignancies.
She was the Chief Resident in Radiation
Oncology at Montefiore Medical Center
prior to joining 21st Century Oncology.
Dr. Li is a member of the American
Society for Therapeutic Radiology and
Oncology, the American Society for
Clinical Oncology, the New York Roentgen
Society and the American College of
Radiology.
Dr. Li has written and published numerous
articles involving potentiation of
tumor sensitivity to chemotherapy and radiation therapy in lung cancer, lymphoma
and leukemia.
She received a research award in 1999
from the New York Roentgen Society
and the AACR Travel Award from the
American Association for Cancer Research
in 1995.
