Dr. Carolyn Horowitz
Dr. Carolyn Horowitz received a B.S. in biology from Douglass College-Rutgers University. She also holds an M.S. and Ph.D in Physiology from Rutgers University and has an MNS in Natural Sciences from Eastern New Mexico University. She completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Metabolic Diseases at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
With a strong desire to do clinical work, she next went to Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (Rutger’s Medical School) and upon graduation completed a residency in Radiation Oncology at Hahnemann University. During her residency she did an American Cancer Society Fellowship and authored a chapter on Ovarian Cancer in a Radiation Oncology textbook.
Dr. Horowitz has practiced Radiation Oncology in South Jersey her whole professional career. She is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is routinely listed as a “Top Doc” in South Jersey. In her present position she is the Medical Director of Radiation Oncology for the Kennedy Health System. She has served on various Cancer Committees and routinely attends Tumor Boards. She is an active member of ASTRO, ASCO, AMA, NJ Medical Society and the Camden County Medical Society.
