About Us 

Dr. Pablo Lavagnini

Pablo G. Lavagnini, M.D., received his medical degree from the University of Uruguay, following which he pursued a pain management fellowship at the National Tumor Institute in Milan.

Dr. Lavagnini developed interest in Oncology and proceeded for training in Radiation Oncology. His residency was fulfilled at St. Vincent’s Hospital, New York Medical College. He subsequently completed a clinical fellowship at Stanford School of Medicine where he conducted basic and clinical research in radiobiology.

Upon completing his training, Dr. Lavagnini was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor, Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He was subsequently appointed Assistant Professor at Cornell University and served as staff member at the New York Hospital.

In 2000, Dr. Lavagnini received an appointment at the Multi-Medicine Medical Center in Milan, Italy, where he served as Chairman of Radiation Oncology up until joining 21st Century Oncology.

Dr. Lavagnini has been involved in the training and development of a prostate brachytherapy program in the U.S. and Europe. He is a co-author of the European recommendation on Prostate Brachytherapy. He is a member of the European Society of Therapeutic Radiation and Oncology (ESTRO) where he has served on the scientific committee. He is board-certified in Radiation Oncology.
