Dr.
Laurence earned his medical and Master of Surgery degrees
from the University of Bombay, India, and his Diploma in
Medical Radiation Therapy (DMRT) from London, England. Dr.
Lawrence completed his residency at Roswell Park Cancer
Institute in Buffalo, New York, and is board-certified in
Therapeutic Radiology by the American College of Radiology.
Prior
to working at Life Cancer Center and joining Faxton-St.
Luke's, Dr. Lawrence has served as a clinical professor
of Radiation Oncology at Kansas University Medical School
in Kansas City, and was a radiation oncologist at St. John's
Hospital in Kansas. He also taught as an assistant professor
at Northwestern University in Chicago while working as a
radiation oncologist at Evanston Hospital and Lake Forest
Hospital.
Dr.
Lawrence has special oncology interests in breast and prostate
cancers, on which he has published several papers, as well
as on High Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy, which treats patients
with a variety of cancers including bronchial and esophageal
cancer.
