Keith L. Miller, M. D. , was raised in Miami and is a graduate of the University of Florida Junior Honors Medical Program. His initial training was in Internal Medicine with a subspecialty in Pulmonary and Critical Care, which he received from the University of California, San Diego. He holds board certification in all those specialties. He practiced Pulmonary Medicine in Southwest Florida for 9 years prior to his decision to further specialize in Radiation Oncology. Dr. Miller previously was the Chief of Staff and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center in Fort Myers. Additionally, he has been named one of the "Best Doctors in America."
Dr. Miller returned to Southwest Florida after completing his residency in Radiation Oncology at Duke University, where he served as Chief Resident. During his tenure at Duke, Dr. Miller published several professional journal articles and gave lectures locally and nation- ally on lung cancer and the interaction of radiation therapy with the lungs. While an expert in lung malignancies, Dr. Miller enjoys the challenge of treating patients with a broad range of cancers.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Medical Association, the American College of Radiation Oncology and the Lee County Medical Society.
Dr. Miller is thrilled to be back in Southwest Florida along with his wife, Debbie, a developmental - behavioral pediatrician, and his children, Leigh and Craig. When his busy schedule allows, he enjoys running and playing golf.
