Tam
T. Nguyen, MD, Board Certified in Radiation Oncology received
a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors, Phi Beta Kappa,
from the University of California, Irvine. During college
Dr. Nguyen received the American Chemical Society Fellowship
in Nuclear Chemistry. He attended medical school at the
University of Missouri.
He completed
an internship in the Department of Internal Medicine at
Loma Linda University Medical Center and then did a Residency
in Radiation Oncology at University of Arizona before relocating
to Las Vegas, Nevada.
During his residency,
Dr. Nguyen served for a year as Chief Resident in the Department
of Radiation Oncology. He was involved in setting up research
protocol in prostate, head and neck cancer.
Currently, Dr.
Nguyen serves on the speakers panel for the American Cancer
Society. He is a member of the American Society for therapeutic
Radiology and Oncology, Nevada Oncology Society and Clark
County Medical Society.
Dr. Nguyen's
special clinical interests include treatment of head and
neck cancer, stereotactic radiosurgery and brachytherapy
for prostate cancer.
He is a member of the American College of Radiation
Oncology (ACRO).
