C. Park, M.D., is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology,
and was award-ed his medical degree from the University
of Korea in 1964.
He completed a three-year residency in Radiation Oncology,
at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City,
where he served as and was Chief Resident during in his
senior last year. Dr. Park completed a Fellowship in Radiation
Therapy at New York Medical College. In 1972 Dr. Park moved
to Western Massachusetts where he served as the Chief of
Radiation Oncology at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield
for 18years. During that time he was Assistant Clinical
Professor in Therapeutic Radiology at Tufts University,
School of Medicine. He was the first Medical Director of
the Valley Cancer Center, now known as Massachusetts Oncology
Services, in Holyoke, MA.
In 2005, 21st
Century Oncology was successful bringing Dr. Park out
of a short retirement to return to leadership
of Massachusetts Oncology Services. Dr. Park has a reputation
as not only a Radiation Oncologist, but also a healer and
strong advocate for organ and function saving cancer management.
He promotes positive thinking throughout the Center and
his philosophy begins, “you have your own immune
system and spontaneous healing power.”
Dr. Park is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic
Radiology and Oncology, the American College of Radiation
Oncology, the American Medical Association, as well as
and many other professional organizations.
Dr. Park has written and published numerous many articles
regarding the role of Radiation Therapy in the treatment
of various cancers, particularly colorectal cancer and
hemangiomas of the liver.
Dr. Park is a lover of song, poetry and humanity.
