Dr. Williams graduated from the
University of North Carolina Chapel
Hill in 1992 with a degree in English
Literature. In 1995 he completed his premedical
studies at Georgetown College in his
hometown of Georgetown, Kentucky. At
Georgetown he earned a second Bachelor of
Arts degree, with a major in Mathematics and
a minor in Chemistry. He attended medical
school at the University of Kentucky. For the
academic year 1997-1998 he served as a
Student Fellow in Pathology, and completed
his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2000.
In 2005, Dr. Williams completed his internship
and residency in Radiation Oncology at the
University of Kentucky. In that same year, he
was the recipient of the Roentgen Resident
Fellow Research Award. He served as Chief
Resident for the Department of Radiation
Medicine at the University of Kentucky from
2004 -2005 and Assistant Professor for the
Radiation Oncology Department from 2005-
2006.
Dr. Williams has collaborated on many
research projects at the University, including
the treatment of cardiovascular disease with
intravascular brachyherapy. He resides in
Lexington, Kentucky with his wife Suzannah
and their son George.
Dr. Williams currently serves as the Medical
Director of the Bluegrass Radiation Center in
Frankfort, Kentucky. Throughout his medical
career he has dedicated himself to the service
of his patients by providing the highest quality
of care with the greatest compassion.
